Born in Tokyo, Kuro (Tak Kuroha) grew up in Milan, Italy and frittered away his childhood watching manga and reading sci-fi books. After seeing Ed Wood by Tim Burton Tak decided that he wanted to direct. He attended workshops with men of genius like John Carpenter and Abel Ferrara, after which he started directing his own films progressing to commercials, music videos, web-series and fashion films. He even managed to win a few awards on the way! His short-films Clacson and Road to Sundance have screened in over 60 Film Festivals around the world and won lots of awards. He was also shortlisted at Cannes YDA (Young Director Award) with an illuminating viral campaign for Ford Kuga. In 2017 Tak released the film “Fallen” an edgy fashion film which is currently being well received at film festivals globally having won Best Creative Concept at the International Fashion Film Awards. Fallen has also been shortlisted for best film at Aesthetica Short Film Festival as well as at the A Shaded View On Fashion Film Festival and has 9 nominations at the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival. Tak works as a screenwriter, creative and director across three continents with bases in Los Angeles, Milano and Bangkok. In his commercial work he has often worked with international celebrities: from supermodels like Alessandra Ambrosio and Mark Vanderloo to movie stars like Angelababy (in China) and Mikako Tabe (in Japan). He loves any form of surreal, crazy, experimental, edgy narration. Tak also loves bunnies... especially the bad ones.
